5. Conditional Tense
The conditional tense expresses what you would do under certain circumstances.
5.1. Formation
For all verbs, attach the conditional endings to the infinitive form.
Conditional Endings:

| Ellos/Ustedes | -ían |
Example Verbs:
- Hablar (to speak)
- Vos hablarías

- Vivir (to live)
- Vos vivirías
5.2. Irregular Verbs
Same irregular stems as in the future tense.
- Tener → tendr-
- Vos tendrías (You would have)
- Poder → podr-
- Vos podrías (You would be able)
- Hacer → har-
- Vos harías (You would do/make)

- Vos viajarías más si tuvieras dinero. (You would travel more if you had money.)
- Vos comerías sushi, pero no te gusta. (You would eat sushi, but you don’t like it.)
- Vos vivirías en la montaña. (You would live in the mountains.)
