  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional; neutral, promotes digestion and supports Qi flow)
  • 1 tablespoon goji berries (sweet and neutral, nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin)
  • ½ teaspoon ginger powder (warming, strengthens digestion, and disperses cold)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (warming and tonifying, strengthens digestion and harmonizes the Spleen)
  • A pinch of cinnamon (warming, aids circulation and digestion)
  • Toppings: chopped nuts (like walnuts, which are warming and tonify Kidney Qi), fresh or dried fruits like dates (sweet, neutral, tonifies Spleen and Stomach)

Instructions:

  1. Combine oats and liquid: In a jar or container, mix the oats and your choice of liquid (like warm almond milk). Warm water helps with digestion and better Qi movement.
  2. Add chia seeds, goji berries, and ginger powder: Stir in these ingredients to add warmth and support digestion.
  3. Sweeten naturally: Mix in honey to harmonize the Spleen and add warmth. Adjust sweetness based on your preference.
  4. Refrigerate overnight: Let the oats soak for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  5. In the morning: Give it a good stir, and add cinnamon, nuts, and fruit for added nourishment. Walnuts are especially good for strengthening the Kidneys.
