This is a resource for the family to make food for Grandmom to help restore balance from the negative side effects of the cancer medicine.

Background

It has been four years since Grandmom was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer. As we have all witnessed, she has taken every step of this chapter with grace and strength, and it has barely slowed her down.

Recently the medicine for lung cancer has started causing digestive problems. This makes it difficult for her body to get the nutrients she needs from her food and makes her tired. Eating foods that are nutritious, easy to digest, and have balancing properties can mitigate some of these effects as much as is possible.
In her life, Grandmom has fed everyone: seven children, their friends and cousins, an ever-growing number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and countless community members at church and elsewhere. Now we can take care of her.
